THE WISDOM WINDOW
A Very Special WISDOM Event
Coming on April 14th!

|
|
Please join us at WISDOM’s joint event with the Detroit Interfaith Outreach Network (DION) on Sunday April 14th for a discussion about holy breads across the faith traditions. Our keynote speaker will be Lynne Meredith Golodner, author of The Flavor of Faiths: Holy Breads. The event will be at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 11 Mile and Woodward in Royal Oak, starting at 4:00 PM.
Please register soon! Send an $8.00 check to WISDOM, P.O. Box 7091, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302. We need to have an idea how many people will be attending so that we can order enough of the variety of breads for our bread tasting. What fun!
Start thinking about how bread has played a part in your family’s culture, tradition, and faith, and come with your story to share. David Crumm, editor of ReadtheSpirit.com and editor of Lynne’s book, has offered to publish some of the interesting stories that are presented at this event in his newsletter!!
Please see flyer below and register soon to join us for a this interactive and delicious interfaith event!! |

Five Women Five Journeys: How Different Are We? |
|
This unique WISDOM program features personal stories of women of different faith traditions – how their childhood impacted their beliefs today, what the challenges are for women in their faith tradition, what parts of their religion are misunderstood, how reaching out to someone from a different faith has enriched their lives.
